FI-2464572 Saariselkä in the far north of Finland

Saariselkä is a village located in a mountainous area in northern Finland. It is located in Northern Lapland and belongs to the Inari municipality. Saariselkä is a popular tourist destination, providing activities such as skiing, hiking and a spa.  But it is not only Saariselkä village that is popular with tourists, the entire region of Inari-Saariselkä with its unique northern countryside, national parks, lake areas, rivers, highland bring in a lot of tourists.

A website promoting the region states that this area “ offers a wealth of opportunities for year-round travel. In winter, the Northern Lights dance across the sky up to 200 days a year. In summer, the midnight sun shines for two whole months in our region. The legendary Saariselkä is the northernmost travel destination in the European Union and boasts a variety of services.
