The National Library of Moldova (Biblioteca Naţională a
Republicii Moldova) is on 31-August-1989 Street in Chişinău. It was founded on
August 22, 1832. In front of the National Library there is a statue of the poet
Vasile Alecsandri by Ion Zderciuc.
